That was when I realized I wanted to be a better dad. I had the chance. I didn't want to do anything to get it done. This guy wasn't going to be a better dad than I was. I needed to find out who the fuck who is really the problem by understanding why I didn't always treat this guy right. The only time I had found my answer was when I got a text from my mom and told her she would take the kids down to the ER because I wanted to help her.

I had to find out what that guy had to do. I didn't want to tell her I was sorry to make a mess. This guy was like a real family man trying to change me. I got out of the hospital without any consequences, as far as the mental health part goes. I told my mom the truth, that I felt guilty because he wasn't telling me.

"What's the problem?"

"I was having problems with your partner, but he told me it wasn't his problem. All he had to do was tell me how he felt or just let things go."
