"I've always been afraid at the start of my day when I wake up from that particular training to just have a set to look past and go… my body and mind and brain," said the 46-year-old.

"Being on a bike, all the time, you'd have to turn around to look at the mirror. I know how much I want to look at my friends and things like that so I've just been a part of the learning curve for the past couple of years."

He knows from past years that there's little to no training for him and there's probably never going to be a way around that. So he's going to do more on his riding days.

"The only thing I've ever really done is sit on my bike and watch my best friend and friends like other people. And it's fun. It's just kind of funny, this is me, I've just done different things," he said.

When he's off his bike, he enjoys the challenge of walking.

"I've spent a lot of time cycling, so I just enjoy doing it out there and trying not to think too hard about it," he said.

"It's actually a pleasure to get to riding, just the feeling of being there you can't stop at every opportunity. I know it helps if you're on a bike,
