"He was dressed like a man. What was he wearing?" one witness told Reuters, adding that he could have seen the same man wearing the "vans".

The man, the eyewitness said, then moved toward another man, grabbed a bag of hair and dragged it up out of his jacket, the witness said.

"My wife said: 'We've got to get your hair away from here," and there was some sort of struggle with the suspect. The man had his shirt unbuttoned, but it was obvious that the police did not want to do anything with him," one witness told Reuters."He took off, went over there and grabbed our girl and she was running away from me. The woman was screaming for help," he said.

Reuters could not independently confirm who was behind the attack, which police have described as a "bar struggle" on Tuesday.

At least one witness told Reuters that "he had to stand up while there were five people standing by."

Reuters reported Friday that the attacker was detained after being treated for wounds to his left knee or ankle.

The attack comes two days after the alleged attacker, Abdul Latif Abu Alshashadeh, opened fire at a Christmas market in Tehran, killing six people and injuring 22 others, including those of three young women.
